Our second Riesling from Weingut Wittmann, this Kirschpiel single vineyard Grosses Gewäches (Grand Cru) showcases dry Riesling at its very finest. Bursting with fruit and minerality with citrus notes and a hint of smokiness. The wine has a herbal freshness to it with depth and balance of acidity. Hard to find a white wine that lingers longer in the mouth than this. Truly excellent wine that can be drunk now but will only add layers of complexity with time in the bottle. No hurry here as it will last until 2040 and beyond…
