Ever heard of the Gaglioppo grape? Me neither! So this red from Calabria is definitely in the “natural wine” camp which is not my usual territory but I really like this example. Garnet colour in the glass with juicy herbal fruit on the palate with hints of mushroom, leather and spice. Interesting wine to drink with pasta and spicy dishes. Well worth a try.
