A personal favourite wine of mine. Made from the gorgeous Nebbiolo grape grown on the Valmaggiore hill in Roero and aged in the bottle for 9 moths before release. Luciano Sandrone is a top level Barolo producer and wine shares many of Barolo’s characteristics with some lovely floral notes but is lighter in style. The wine is a definite level up from many Langhe Nebbiolo wines and certainly benefits from a long decant if drinking young but will last for at least 10 years if cellaring. Fabulous with grilled medium-rare steak
