Passopisciaro Contrada PC Bianco 2019

£50.00

Terre Siciliane - Sicily - Italy

ABV - 13%

Our second Chardonnay from Passopisciaro in Etna, Sicily is a stunner. Contrada PC comes from a small parcel of vines, grown on steep terraces at about 900 meters above sea level. The grapes are carefully selected and hand-harvested in the first couple of weeks of September and then barrel aged on the fine lees, for a minimum of 6 months. The wine refines in bottle for 1 further year following that. The wine shows great minerality with hint of apple, pear and almond notes. I would suggest a short decant for this wine which can be drunk young or aged for a good 10 years. Drinks with shellfish, vegetarian food and appetisers
