Oddero Barolo Villero 2020

£100.00

Barolo - Langhe - Piedmont - Italy

ABV - 14%

Scrupulous vine growing. Careful manual selection of grapes, both in the vineyards and in the cellar, the wine is aged in large oak barrels for 30 months then bottled at the end of summer and ages for another year in the bottle before being sold. Mature leather and spices, ripe sweet core of fruit with underlying freshness and tension. Structured palate, firm tannins, showing power, tarry notes and dark fruits. The drinking window for this wine is suggested at 2025 - 2040 but will certainly drink young with a good long decant which is my preference. Pair with Beef, Lamb, Game and Rich meat Pasta dishes
