Equipo Navazos La Bota 117 Amontillado "Montilla"
Montilla-Moriles - Andalucia - Spain
ABV - 17.5%
Grape - Pedro Ximénex
The Amontillado 117 “Navazos” Butt is, by style and variety, the natural continuation of an exciting series of Amontillados that, like few other wines, constitute the backbone of the adventure that began in 2005 under the name Equipo Navazos. From the legendary number 1 with which we began the journey, through the numbers 9, 37, 58, and 95, all of which we have lent the surname “Navazos” because they represent the ideal balance between complexity and freshness that, for us, makes Amontillado the king of wines.
From Sanlúcar to Montilla, seeking something new and seizing the opportunity to offer a spectacular Amontillado of finesse and liveliness, delicious, fluid, and at the same time full of character. This wine is over 20 years old and of average age, originating in Altos de Moriles. It was first aged for a long time as a fino and then undergoing its initial oxidative stage in a prestigious winery in Lucena, before being finished in Pérez Barquero. It has never been fortified, and its alcohol content is limited, below 18%, which contributes to its freshness on the palate.
To be drunk and enjoyed without restraint, between 11°C and 13°C. A wonderfully gastronomic wine that pairs with a wide variety of dishes, while also being a delicious glass in itself
