If you want a glimpse into Gigondas on what fabulous quality wines come from there, this is the best place to start. Excellent value for such a refined wine made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mouvedre, which has been a favourite of mine for years. Deep ruby coloured in the glass with a lovely heady aroma. Big and spicy with notes of tobacco, leather, cherry and spice. Be sure to let the wine breathe for a couple of hours prior to serving and drink from now until 2030
