The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge ‘Grand Vin’, is a blend of 58% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre and 6% Cinsault from the best plots grown on sandy soil and red sandstone. It is aged in used oak for 12 months, adding power and complexity to the finished wine, which boasts flavours of ripe red and black fruits, sweet spice and pepper with a great long finish. Lovely savoury tasting red from a great vintage. Drink with any red meats from now with a good two hour decant until around 2036.
