Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino 2017

£45.00

Brunello di Montalcino - Tuscany - Italy

ABV - 14.5%

This lovely Brunello was matured for 24 months in oak and then a further 12 months in the bottle prior to release. Attractive ruby red colour in the glass. Beautifully aromatic and floral on the nose, almost like a Piedmont wine. The palate is smooth with fabulous cherry driven earthy fruit and a hint of spices and herbs. A rich and rewarding wine and lingers long in the mouth. Decant for a good few hours if drinking this young or stash away until 2030 and beyond if you want to wine to be enhanced by additional layers of fruit and complexity
