Iconic Italian red wine from Antinori and from an excellent vintage to boot with this 2021 vintage receiving a 98 point rating. Made from a blend of predominately Sangiovese to give lovely Tuscan earthy cherry driven Tuscan fruit with Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc added for some silky smooth texture. If drinking young, the wine needs plenty of air - around four hours I would suggest. Deep ruby colour in the glass with aromas of red berries, smoke, oak and a hint of herbs. Sumptuous on the palate with silky fruit, firm tannins and a super long aftertaste. There is no doubt, this will improve with age and last until around 2045 so there no hurry to drink but can be drunk young with plenty of air. Pairs perfectly with cooked or cured meats. This wine is on allocation so stocks are limited
